All dry food is not affected by the recall, even though I have gotten plenty of calls saying that there pet has died from kidney failure or is currently sick with the symptoms of kidney failure and the only pet food they use is dry food.

But what can i say......

The pet food is contaminated with rat poison, and what make it so bad is that the rat poison that that contaminated the food is banned in the U.S.

There are over 90 brands affected.
menu foods.com as all the info you need regarding the pet food recall....

But what I can tell you is that Nestle brand(purina, mighty dog, fancy feast, etc.) pet food is not at all affected dry or wet. So that would be one I would suggest.

Most of the affected food was canned, or that gourmet stuff. Most if not all of the dry food was not affected. It is a known fact that canned pet food has a high risk of contamination. Dry food is the safest stuff you can get. Your dog may not like it as much, but you can rest assured that it will not be poisoned!

The recall was limited to several brands of pet foods that come packaged in foil pouches. If you stick with canned, you should be okay. As for what brands were affected, check this link to the manufacturer's website for specific information
